Painful wisdom teeth / Problem with wisdom teeth

Wisdom teeth (your third molars) are the last teeth to come into the mouth. There are chances that they may not emerge at all or most often, they are impacted or trapped in the jawbone and gums, because of inadequate space in the mouth. Therefore, removal may be the best option in case of "impacted" or problematic wisdom teeth.

A thorough dental evaluation consisting of clinical examination of the teeth and x-rays to assess the health of your teeth will help to pinpoint any existing problem. Based on this evaluation, your dentist may recommend surgery remove wisdom teeth and eliminate the problem.

The space left by the removal of wisdom teeth heals. Replacement is not generally required in cases of wisdom tooth removal. Removal of wisdom tooth does not cause any damage to adjacent teeth or to the eyesight. Loss of a wisdom tooth does not compromise chewing or biting habits.
